The second version of the London Double Decker Bus, issued in 1957. Of course again painted in red, early issued with metal wheels, later changed to grey plastic wheels.

Red body, grey plastic wheels, rounded axles, hard to find "Players Please" decals 95%, silver front grill. Very unsual version mounted an a green caramic tray similiar to the Yesteryear "Gifts" produced at the same time. To my knowledge only the 5B & 5C models have ever been put on these accessories.

The model has paint damage ( bubbles ), mainly to the roof.

The fourth and last issue of the London Double Decker Bus, again a AEC Routemaster. Now 70 mm long, always painted red and for the first time equipped with an plastic interior.

Red body, black plastic wheels, "BP visco-static" labels and late "4 line text" base, rare unlisted version with creme interior instead of the usual white interior. So far only earlier models fitted with waterslide decals are known with creme interiors but i found some later production models with labels and 4 line base fitted with these very hard to find interiors. I bought this from a bus collector's extensive ( 5000+ ) bus collection ( all Matchbox size models ), he had over 50 of these 5D's with some featuring these cream interiors. They are not "faded" through sunlight or smoke, they are moulded in cream plastic! The 3rd picture shows the difference between white and creme interior. Mint model in near mint box.
