Giftsets 1960/61 yellow slide out boxes
From 1960 onwards Lesney named their sets "Giftsets". The 1960-61 issues are packed in large slide-out boxes with cover illustrations depicting the included models with similar graphics as on the standard series boxes, red & black line drawings. All 1960 sets are having the "A MOKO LESNEY" phrase shown on the front cover illustrations, that was changed to just "A LESNEY" in 1961 similar to the boxes from the 1-75 series.

Another very early Giftset issued in 1960, the G-3 "Building Contructors Set", also in the same yellow slide-out box. The 1960 cover pictures are still showing the older "A MOKO LESNEY" trademark. There were 5 different themed sets issued in that year. |

The prohably rarest 1-75 series Giftset, the "Garage Gift Set" from 1961. Not issued by Lesney but from a third party ( most likely from an mail order company ) this contains the MG-1B "ESSO" Station, the A-1 "ESSO" Pumps & Sign, A-2 Car Transporter, M-6 Pickfords Low-Loader and eight individual 1-7 series models, all packed in tier boxes! Must have been an very expensive set at the time. Interesting cover illustration, completely different artwork then any Lesney issued set. There are less then 10 of these sets known worldwide. This is an heavily damaged and tape box ruine only, no models. Worn, creased, tape repaired but complete.
