White body, white base without model number cast and with incomplete copyright year, BLACK interior, red front grill. Very colourful colour trial model which was used for internal testing in the factory: finding out at which tension the doors are breaking. The answer: 8 lb. The original test tag from the factory is still attached. Doors are loose as the internal steel spring is loose. Glue marks from old tape around the body and no wheels ( were never fitted ). A true piece of development progress for that model. |

Very colourful colour trial model which was used for internal testing in the factory: finding out at which tension the doors are breaking. The answer here: 14 lb. The original test tag from the factory is still attached. The ( broken off ) right door is missing, no wheels ( were never fitted ). A true piece of development progress history for that model. |

Unusual colour trial model of the No. 46A Mercedes 300 SE with bright orange body, dark green windows, chrome 5 arch wheels, unpainted modified base without model number or year cast. This model was made when this casting was re-issued in the military Two-Pack range, obviously Lesney thought about using it again in a civilian version too. Near mint condition. Provenance: this model was part of the Ray Bush collection, founder of the legendary "UK Matchbox" Collectors club. Later on display at the Chester Toy museeum, in storage since it's closure in 2002. |
