Giftsets 1966-1969
From 1966 onwards Lesney used shrinkwrapped boxes which enabled the customer to see the included models before buying the set. Naturally the shrinkwrap was destroyed first after the purchase and that makes set's which are untouched and still shrink- wrapped hard to find these days. All these shrinkwrapped sets were sold with an plain grey outer cardboard protective sleeve, these rather uninteresting looking transport sleeves are sought after by giftset collectors.

The last issue of the Service Station Set from 1968, still shrink wrapped, unused, like new. Station complete with all parts including large "BP" sign, roof sign and flags ( still on sprue ) and the models 13D Dodge Wreck Truck, 56B Fiat 1500 in RED and No. 32C Leyland Tanker. Original cello is intact, small split at the cars section but not large enought to remove them. Mint. As good as you will find it after 55 years. |

The sought after G-4 "Race'N'Rally" Set from 1968, containing the following models: 19D Lotus Racer in green and orange, 52B BRM in blue and red, 3C Mercedes Ambulance, 25D Ford Cortina with roof rack, 29C Denver Fire Pumper, 8E Ford Mustang, 41C Ford GT and 67B VW 1600 TL with roof rack. All models near mint, unplayed with but the No. 25 Cortina got tacky paint, unfortunaly quite common with that model. Excellent, very crisp box, no tape, looks like new but is missing the original cellophane. Fantastic set in wonderful condition with some hard to find variations. |

This typ of box was used when ordering these Giftsets via mail-order. Excellent box condition, no tape, some water stains, still crisp. Clear plastic insert has the usual cracks ( very thin material ), the models are between C8 und 9.5. Very hard to find set with that kind of box. |
